A twitterview is an interview conducted live via Twitter. It invites audience members to follow along and provides them with the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session. Each of our twitterviews also includes a graphic transcript which will be available online following the twitterview.
The benefits to being twitterviewed are many! You’ll gain new Twitter followers, find new readers for your books and website, and boost your web presence in general.
You may purchase a twitterview directly or receive one as part of our touring author package.
Remember that old-school game 20 questions? Well, twitterviewing is kind of like that. Each twitterview consits of—you guessed it—20 questions. The first 5 are stock; we ask them to everybody. They are: The next 5 questions are specially formulated for the featured twitterviewee. The 5 after that are randomly selected from the question bank (the twitterviewee chooses 5 numbers between 1 and 100, which correspond to the secret bank items) The final 5 questions come from members of the twitterview audience.
Before the twitterview: On the day in which a twitterview is scheduled to take place, the Novel Publicity team will set up automated reminders using Social Oomph. We will send out reminders every 1 hour the morning leading up to the twitterview. We will also schedule 30-minute, 15-minute, and 5-minute reminders. After the twitterview: Once the twitterview has been completed, we will publish the transcript to novelpublicity.com using the graphic template (to see what that looks like, check out past twitterviews). Links to the transcripts will also be shared via our Twitter network and in our weekly newsletter.
