Blue Crown Press is a small independent publisher. Since we’re small, we only publish books that we truly believe have the capacity to achieve commercial popularity.

We accept fiction with an emphasis on the following genres: women’s fiction, young adult, fantasy, paranormal, science fiction, suspense, and horror. We will also consider high-quality literary fiction.

We do not accept picture books, poetry, erotica, screenplays, inspirational literature, or nonfiction.

We realize that not all literature fits neatly into a single category.  While we do not make exceptions for any genre listed on the “do not accept” list, if your book falls into another category, or does not completely fit into a genre we do publish, you may still query; however, please understand that we prefer the genres for which we have stated an explicit emphasis above.

If we like what we read, we’ll email a request for a 3-page synopsis of the manuscript and the first chapter. If we like your follow-up submission, we will request the full manuscript. We respond to all initial and follow-up inquiries within 4-8 weeks.

Submissions that do not conform to the above-listed criteria will be deleted without review. Please give your novel a fair chance by following our guidelines.

Unfortunately due to the volume of submissions, at this time we are only open to submissions from the US and US territories.  Please check back regularly should this policy change.
